Planning lawyer shaping UK development and regeneration
I co-lead Shoosmiths’ Planning Team and our Living Sector, advising on contentious and non-contentious planning matters across the UK. My work includes Section 106 agreements, compulsory purchase, infrastructure, judicial review and highways law. I’m known for my strategic insight and ability to navigate complex public-private projects.
Since joining Shoosmiths in 2013, I’ve advised clients including Peel Holdings, Bellway, Vistry and Tesco. My experience spans urban village developments, estate renewals and airport planning. I previously worked in-house for local authorities, giving me a unique perspective on planning strategy and delivery.
I’m a Legal Associate Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute and ranked as a Leading Individual in Legal 500 and Chambers UK. I regularly speak at industry events and contribute to Shoosmiths’ Living Sector strategy.
