I’m a Partner in our Leeds Construction team, specialising in non-contentious matters across infrastructure, energy and development. I’m dual qualified, having worked as a Chartered Civil Engineer before becoming a solicitor in 2003. That technical background gives me a deep understanding of project delivery and risk.

I advise on building and engineering contracts, guarantees, bonds and consultant appointments. My recent work includes student accommodation schemes, motorway service areas, mass passenger transport projects, biomass and waste-to-energy facilities, and NHS developments.

Clients value my ability to translate complex engineering and legal issues into clear, actionable advice. I joined Shoosmiths in 2017 from Addleshaw Goddard and lead our Leeds construction team.
