International

Supporting some of the world’s most exciting and ambitious businesses.

We have a proven track record of navigating complex legal landscapes, advising clients on what matters to them across multiple jurisdictions. Examples of our cross-border expertise include:

  • successfully defending Opel Automotive from a $19 million multi-jurisdictional contractual claim in a two week trial in the Commercial Court
  • acting for Belden Group, a global provider of industrial networking solutions, in its global data breach involving regulators across 26 countries. We were the sole counsel in every country except the USA
  • advising H&M on one of their biggest pieces of IP litigation. This involved working cross-border, handling proceedings in the USA, Germany and the UK
  • acting as sole advisor to Global Switch, the largest data centre provider in Europe and Asia Pacific, on its global data centre portfolio
  • acting for LA headquartered GCL on its acquisitions of CARS and Dynamic International, and managing delivery of UK, US, UAE, Japanese and Dutch advice.

Our long-standing working relationships with law firms across the world – coupled with membership of the World Services Group (WSG) and active participation with the International Bar Association (IBA) – enables us to offer clients best-in-class advice, regardless of where they are in the world.

Business desks

Our international business desks for the USA, Germany and India are staffed by lawyers with deep experience of advising clients in and from these key economic and geographic markets. They bring legal support and a network to help clients make valuable connections, together with the cultural understanding (and languages) required to support clients from those markets or who wish to enter those markets.
