Shoosmiths at MIPIM 2024

An expert team from across Shoosmiths real estate will be attending MIPIM 2024.

The law firm’s delegation features specialists from planning, construction, real estate finance and investment, commercial real estate and several experts from its living sector.

From navigating evolving legislation and potential government change, to the growth of the build to rent, life sciences and flexible office sectors, the team will be sharing the latest insight on helping deliver the UK’s most ambitious investment and development projects.

Partnerships

Shoosmiths will be partnering with EG on its MIPIM 2024 programme.

This year, Nathan Rees, partner and co-head of Shoosmiths’ real estate investment group, will be joining EG and industry leaders for a panel discussion exploring the real estate industry’s role in helping create prosperous locations and communities.

The discussion will take place at Avison Young’s pavilion on Tuesday 12 March 2024 at 14:00 (CET).

As a key partner, Shoosmiths will also be supporting Place MIPIM - collaborating with other businesses in spotlighting investment and development opportunities in the North West.

Cycling in a bid to transform lives

Shoosmiths partners, Kathryn Jump and Ian Hardman, will be taking part in the Knight Frank cycle to MIPIM 2024 event.

The annual charity ride, organised by Club Peloton, will see riders from across the property industry completing a 1,445km relay challenge from London to Cannes to help transform the lives of vulnerable young people, with the charity providing £4.8m in grants since 2006.

Kathryn and Ian will join their fellow riders for a four day ride, completing at least 700km of the journey to MIPIM 2024. Please support Kathryn and Ian in their fundraising efforts.

Inaugural MIPIM Challengers cohort

Rachel Munro, Shoosmiths real estate senior associate, has been selected to be part of the first ever cohort of MIPIM Challengers at the global property conference.

The cohort, consisting of 16 real estate professionals under the age of 30, aims to address the key challenges facing the industry at MIPIM 2024. 

Rachel will join her fellow Challengers and take part in a range of events, talks, panels and networking sessions. Following a workshop session hosted by UNESCO Ambassador Guila Clara Kessous, the cohort will have the opportunity to pitch ideas to an expert panel of senior leaders in property development and investment.
