We recently advised on the 225m GBP and 82 acres employment park at Hinckley, Leicestershire.
This included advising on the procurement of all of the offsite infrastructure to the site, the construction of a new junction on the A5 and improvement to Junction 1 of the M69, the preparation of the majority of the site for development and the first 532,000 sq ft unit on the site.
The onsite works were complicated by various sets of works being undertaken simultaneously under a matrix of different building contracts. As part of the acquisition and progression of the site, we had to restructure the development agreement for the sale of the first plot to DPD (which was for the construction of a £150m super-hub for DPD) at short notice so that it took account of various potential options for the delivery of the plot to facilitate an acceleration of DPD’s construction programme.
Hinckley Park will also deliver a package of sustainable transport measures, including additional bus services, new footways and cycle ways to improve access and safety for pedestrians.
