That cute yellow bear’s back on our screens this Friday evening and to celebrate his fortieth birthday (he’s ageing well), Girlguiding has teamed up with BBC Children in Need for a new fundraising challenge “Act Your Age”: take your age and do something good with it to raise funds.
At a time when the scope for fundraising is restricted during lockdown and in a context of possible “donor fatigue” this campaign is an imaginative collaboration by two charities, pooling their efforts to advance their own (aligned) charitable objects and galvanising young people into taking action to raise funds for peers less fortunate than themselves.
There is much talk of a need for greater collaboration within the charity sector: here is an example of a smart digital campaign which achieves it.
