Having tuned into LBC for the last six weeks to hear real people’s views on the general election, I have stayed tuned and abandoned BBC Radio 4. On my commute last night Iain Dale was interviewing Liam Halligan, author of Home Truths.
It was a fascinating interview on a subject that no political party seems to yet have the answer to: how to solve the housing crisis. Halligan has clearly got right under the skin of the industry and the facts. Did you know that only 1.1% of the UK is actually residential housing and gardens? So much for us running out of space.
