Go-live update
The GCF has confirmed that the Act will go live on 24 February 2025.
Central Digital Platform: video guides and user manuals now available
The new Central Digital Platform is designed to centralise all procurement notices from contracting authorities in one location. To assist with the transition, video guides and user manuals have been published, providing an overview of the platform and the registration process. Resources can be accessed here.
New guidance and template documents
The Procurement Specific Questionnaire template is now available on the Procurement Pathway Tool. This aims to help contracting authorities receive core supplier information from the Central Digital Platform, additional exclusions and debarment information, and information relating to conditions of participation. It will fulfil a similar role to the Standard Selection Questionnaire used under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.
National Procurement Policy Statement (NPPS)
The new National Procurement Policy Statement (‘NPPS’) is being finalised following extensive stakeholder engagement. The revised NPPS aligns with the new government’s procurement reform ambitions, including initiatives such as:
- Shutting down links between ministers and public contracts;
- Standardising police procurement;
- Developing an NHS innovation strategy; and
- Reforming defence procurement.
The GCF will issue a further update once the NPPS is published.
