Law firm Shoosmiths has announced eight new partners in its May promotions round.
The new Shoosmiths partners are:
Jill Briggs, who acts for housebuilders in acquisitions of development sites, strategic options, promotion agreements and regeneration schemes on a nationwide basis.
Kate Garcia, who advises on all aspects of corporate and business tax, with a particular focus on real estate transactions and property taxes as well as heading up the firm's tax disputes practice.
Holly Hirst, who advises on corporate transactions with a particular focus on private equity and private M&A transactions.
Matthew Kemp, who advises funds, landlords and corporates, with a particular focus on investment.
Liz McKillop Paley, who acts for institutional landlords and corporate investors, in the investment market and has a particular interest in Sustainability.
Chris Moakes, who advises a wide range of investors and investee companies on structuring and implementing tax efficient investments, reorganisations and exits in compliance with the EIS and VCT regimes.
Lisa Sigalet, who advises on a wide range of corporate and M&A transactions including acquisitions, disposals, reorganisations and corporate governance.”
Brian West, who specialises in advising real estate clients on residential, mixed use and commercial development.
In addition, Shoosmiths has promoted 12 to legal director and 25 to principal associate.
