Finding real estate assets where developers and investors are able to realise sufficient value is becoming increasingly difficult.
This is leading to a rising number of development and investment opportunities on brownfield sites, but unlocking those opportunities presents risk and challenge, particularly for new entrants into the market. However, with housing targets on the up, there is growing pressure to identify valid new sites for regeneration and, with urbanised locations often providing benefits in terms of proximity to retail, leisure and employment destinations, there is also plenty of value to be derived from brownfield development if you can get it right.
In this Q&A webinar in association with LandTech, planning partner, Tim Willis, offers his views on the brownfield market and discusses some of the struggles developers may face when embarking on a brownfield scheme, as well as tips to overcome them.
