Corporate Power Purchase Agreements, or CPPAs, are long-term electricity supply agreements between two parties and are a valuable catalyst for the green energy transition.
Currently, only around a very small proportion of UK businesses have the financial capacity and energy demand to use larger scale CPPAs, but as a firm we are working with clients to find innovative ways to democratise the procurement of renewable energy. This is one of the key elements of our support for our clients in their sustainability journeys, as they transition to net zero carbon emissions.
In this programme produced by ITN Business, partners from our Energy & Infrastructure team, James Wood-Robertson and Chris Pritchett, talk about the role that innovative CPPA structures can play in the green energy transition.
Chris and James were also joined by clients Central Co-Op, UrbanChain and Engie UK, who talked about some of the work they are doing in this space, sharing the different ways they are supporting businesses that might otherwise not be able to directly procure clean energy on their green energy transition.
The programme focuses on the adoption of renewable energy and showcases businesses and organisations that are working at the heart of the renewables sector to drive positive action towards net zero goals. It features key industry and news-style reports along with sponsored editorial profiles.
