David Farnell, Leeds partner and lead local CR champion recently reflected on the office’s relationship with charity partner Martin House. ‘We have just celebrated the launch of our new office at Platform, so this is an exciting time for all of us in Leeds.
We are enjoying the space and bursting with ideas! We are committed to building our relationship with our office charity, Martin House, until April 2019 and recently welcomed Emily Lynn to Platform. Following that meeting, we plan to arrange some charity shop donations and a visit to Martin House in September, where we will help maintain the charity’s gardens for the day. 2018 promises to be a busy year of CR events for the Leeds office, which will include a Royal Wedding Tea Party, a Dragon Boat Race, a Colour Run and a Hallowe’en celebration, before ending with a range of festive activities in the run-up to Christmas.’The aim of Martin House is to provide family led care for children with life threatening conditions. It is a place where children, young people and their families can come to stay from time to time along their journey and find support, rest and practical help.
