Leeds office raises £18,246 over two years for local charity Leeds Mind

Shoosmiths colleagues at the Leeds office have raised a total of £18,246 for local charity Leeds Mind, rounding off a fantastic two years working with the charity.

The financial year ended on a high as members of the Corporate Responsibility Committee handed over the cheque to Leeds Mind.

Shoosmiths has worked closely with Leeds Mind over the past two years to organise and deliver a range of fundraising events, including bake sales, raffles, the Leeds Mind Firewalk and other office initiatives to raise money for the charity.

A number of colleagues also attended the Leeds Mind 50th Birthday Party fundraiser last October, further strengthening our relationship with the charity as Leeds Mind celebrated 50 years in the community.

Leeds Mind provide critical mental health services in and around Leeds, including group support, 1-to-1 counselling, creative wellbeing activities, workplace wellbeing support and more. The charity aims to help people build on their strengths, overcome obstacles, and become more in control of their lives.

Sophie Westmoreland, Corporate and Events Fundraiser at Leeds Mind, said:

“Working with Shoosmiths had been a wonderful experience, and we at Leeds Mind have been so lucky to have their support. From innovative fundraising around car parking at their office to raffles and sweepstakes, to joining in with our many events, they have really gone above and beyond to help raise funds for Leeds Mind. We’re so grateful for their support and friendship!”
