Bijou is an Associate in Shoosmiths' Construction team, based in the London office.
Bijou has non-contentious and contentious construction experience. Bijou's non-contentious experience includes drafting and negotiating building contracts, consultant appointments, sub-contracts, bonds, guarantees and collateral warranties. Bijou has wide ranging contentious experience, including Bijou's integral role working on multiple concurrent multi-million-pound disputes between a developer of a luxury west end hotel and leading contractors.
Clients describe Bijou as “a delight to speak to“ and conducting herself with "diligence" and "efficiency". Bijou is an active member of the London Pro Bono Committee and was a recent host, and is a current mentor, to improve social mobility in law through the Shoosmiths 'Discover Placement'.
Before qualifying as a solicitor, Bijou completed her Law LLB at the University of Bristol, having obtained a First Class Honours. She also achieved a Distinction on her LPC from the University of Law.
