Cherice Laviniere is a Senior Paralegal in the Intellectual Property team, based in the London office. She works with a diverse range of clients to protect, manage, and enforce their intellectual property rights across various sectors.

She enjoys working on both contentious and non-contentious matters to safeguard and commercialise intellectual property assets, ensuring that businesses and individuals have confidence in the protection of their creations. She has over seven years’ experience handling matters involving trade marks and designs, supporting clients in maintaining a competitive edge in the market. She joined Shoosmiths in 2025.

Cherice graduated from Staffordshire University in 2015 with an LLB (Hons) in Law and has developed a strong interest in brand protection and innovation. She is passionate about helping creators secure their rights, believing that robust intellectual property protection drives progress and fosters a healthy, competitive environment.
