Kurt is an experienced corporate lawyer with particular expertise in cross-border mergers and acquisitions.

 

He is noted for his sector knowledge and expertise in financial services and technology, and is regularly published and quoted in the legal press.

 

Recent transactions have included advising in respect of gaming and interactive entertainment, digital and telecommunications infrastructure, clean energy and energy transition, data centres, AI-led technologies, pharmaceuticals and medical writing, and insurance and insuretech.

 

Kurt acts for a wide range of clients, from financial institutions, funds and corporates to owner/ managers and high net worth individuals.

 

Areas of expertise include:

 

  • international mergers and acquisitions;
  • joint ventures and investments;
  • corporate governance;
  • strategic reorganisations and restructurings;
  • private equity and venture capital;
  • corporate insurance; and
  • pensions de-risking and other aspects of risk transfer and management.

 

Before joining BCLP, Kurt trained and practised at Slaughter and May in London. He also practised as a visiting lawyer at Simpson Thacher Bartlett in New York and at JunHe in Beijing.
