Michelle is a Principal Associate in the Employment team, providing advice on contentious and non-contentious matters to a range of clients including companies in the telecommunications, retail and logistics sectors and individuals.
Michelle's recent experience includes:
- supporting a client with a large-scale and long-running transformation project.
- supporting with senior exits and settlements.
- advising clients on business restructures and redundancies, whistleblowing and discrimination complaints, termination of employment, family leave, working time and TUPE related matters.
- defending claims in the Employment Tribunal and Employment Appeal Tribunal.
- delivering client-specific and national training sessions and mock Employment Tribunal hearings.
- advising on business immigration matters, including right to work and sponsorship queries.
Michelle joined Shoosmiths in October 2018 following three years as a solicitor and 11 years overall in the employment team of Eversheds Sutherland in Nottingham.
