Mike graduated with a 2:1 in Law from the University of Nottingham. He then undertook the Legal Practice Course at BPP University and graduated with a commendation in 2021. 

Mike joined Shoosmiths’ Court of Protection team as a Paralegal in February 2023, having gained experience in managing client relations in his previous roles and pro bono work. He is passionate about Mental Health and Capacity Law and has experience of dealing with people who are experiencing cognitive impairment. 

Mike’s role sees him involved in working alongside senior team members with the day-to-day management of professional property and affairs Deputyships, Lay Deputyships and Personal Injury Trusts. He works closely with clients to ensure that they are fully supported, empowered, and that their needs are met. He looks to achieve this by communicating legal issues to clients in a clear and concise manner, truly understanding their needs, and investing time to build a genuine rapport with them.

In his spare time, Mike enjoys spending time with friends and sports such as American football, football and martial arts.
