Thomas is a retail financial services and regulatory lawyer with over 27 years of experience gained in Edinburgh and London, both in private practice and inhouse at a major UK bank and later at an international private bank.
Thomas advises on all areas of retail and SME financial services law, including:

Thomas joined Shoosmiths in November 2019. His clients include household name banks and building societies; international and private banks; mortgage lenders; card companies; payment companies; FinTechs; and funeral plan providers. He has extensive experience in regulatory implementation projects, having advised on most major implementation projects from FSMA in 2000 up to Consumer Duty in present day.
