Welcome to the Lawyer GC Summit’s Shoosmiths page.
As the sun shines brightly on this prestigious event, we are thrilled to extend our support as sponsors, providing essential goodies to make your experience even more enjoyable.
In your delegate packs, you'll find branded sunglasses, lip balm, sun lotion, and a bag, all designed to ensure you make the most of both the enlightening sessions and the sunny surroundings.
At Shoosmiths, we understand the importance of both professionalism and comfort, and we want to ensure you have everything you need for a successful and enjoyable summit experience.
In addition to the goodies, we are delighted to be hosting a plenary session where David Jackson, CEO and Tony Randle, Partner will draw on the legal and industry expertise to map the current state of the art in emerging AI tool and what the future holds. Combining thought leadership with practical examples, this session will shine a light onto the landscape right now, where the pitfalls lie and how to embed an AI mindset as we travel forward as a profession. We will also undertake that most impossible and perilous of tasks - attempting to accurately predict the future.
Alex Bishop, will be hosting four roundtable sessions throughout the Summit on ‘Anticipating the unknown unknowns’. At a time when many industry sectors continue to suffer pandemic impacts, the fallout from geopolitical turmoil and other external issues, what are the litigation risks that lie ahead for GCs and heads of legal? We will draw on recent survey results from more than 360 general counsel and senior in-house lawyers from large businesses to lead a discussion focused on what are the key areas of litigation risk over the next 3 years? How are GCs allocating resources in response to a changing environment? And what are GCs doing to anticipate and mitigate exposures to risk?
